The long Burgundian winter has come to and end and spring is at last in the air. And as mother nature wakes from here deep sleep, here at The Hungry Cyclist Lodge we are ready to welcome a new season of food, wine and cycling aficionados to Auxey-Duresses for delicious pedal-powered adventures.

We have not been idle over the winter months. Our bike garage has been renovated. We have added a fully equipped pool house as well as starting work on the renovation of our 18th century bake house. All being well by July there will be home-baked breads, terrines and the odd pizza to enjoy poolside after a day cycling amongst the vines.

We are also in the process of building up a little antique shop in our cellar. Filled with treasures from local brocante as well as a selection of our favourite wines from some Burgundy's exciting young wine producers, you can buy these bottles to take a taste of burgundy home with you.

Thanks to some favourable press and the wonders of word of mouth, The Hungry Cyclist Lodge is now fully booked for 2016, so why not get ahead of the crowd and start thinking about a delicious holiday in Burgundy in 2017. We will give initial priority to house bookings and tailor-made tours, before opening bookings for bed and breakfast later in the year.
