South East Asia is a food-lovers paradise and as I pedaled alongside the Mekong through the landscapes of Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Thailand and China, from the seat of my bicycle, I was able explore the origins, influences and defining characteristics of the food that fueled my journey.
Often as beautiful as it is delicious the food of South East Asia is a feast for all the senses. Vibrant ingredients blend with colorful backgrounds and as a keen photographer capturing some of these dishes was almost as enjoyable as eating them. And whether I was visiting traditional family-run restaurants, street stalls, floating markets, night markets or fishing villages I was able to capture the real food of the South East Asia and its preparation.
