Garlic Pita Chips

While resting a pair of weary legs in Calgary I was fortunate enough to stay with Charles, Sandy, Chelsea and Lydia Blackwell. A large fridge, a large TV and a large DVD collection meant I could indulge in some serious R & R before I head into the Rockies. On a weekend family camping trip to red lodge I got to try Sandy’s famous Garlic Pita Chips and here is the recipe.

  • 6 pita pockets
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 1 tsp of salt
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • ¼ cup of olive oil

1. Crush the garlic and the salt to make a smooth paste. Add paprika and olive al and blend well.

2. Split pita open and brush the garlic oil on the inside. Cut into wedges and place on a baking tray.

3. Bake for between 5-10 minutes at 325 degrees until golden brown.
