Friday Night In – Take A Seat with Dom Gill. ITV4 24th July 8pm

Daisy Daisy,Give me your answer do!
I'm half crazy, All for the love of you!
It won't be a stylish marriage,I can't afford a carriage,
But you'll look sweet on the seat Of a bicycle built for two

Dom Gill
couldn't afford a carraige either, but this didn't stop him from riding his bicycle made for two some 20,000 miles, from Alaska to Argentina. But madly Dom didn't set off with Dasiy or anyone else for that matter, he took his tandem to the road looking for company.

Meeting folk in bars and bus stops, hostels and haciendas he pedalled south looking for company and a little extra leg power on what was an extraordiansy pedal powered mission. Two years after finishing his trip Dom has at last put togeather a documentry about his journey with the help of the crazy folk at Ginger TV.

Broadcast on ITV4 tomorrow evening, we will see freezing tundra and burning desert, as Dom takes on some of the toughest landscapes on earth and I have no doubt there will be some stunning footage and extraordianry tales as Dom picks up peasants, policemen, drifters, jailbirds, mayors and women he fancies.

Having made a journey similar to Dom's many moons ago and met the man in Canada, I will be tuning in and a review will follow here on The Hungry Cyclist after the weekend.

Here are the details so you dont miss this short piece of television history.

Congratulations Dom
